EXPLANATION – WHY THIS SITE WAS PARTIALLY SHUT DOWN
[extract from another website in answer to those who wanted to know why the detailed explanations have been removed from this site]
“In answer to the one who wanted to know why I closed down the
Eruv site after it convinced people that there were genuine (non-political)
problems with the Eruv - problems which apply even now.
Firstly, only rarely to I read this site. [I don't have internet access]. The
strident tone of many contributors [including Chutzpes against Rabbonim in
favour of the Eruv] is not lefi ruchi.
Secondly, it was painful to have to criticise publicly great T. Chachomim. The
purpose and justification for this was to convince people not to rely on the
unsafe Eruv. By now the lines have been drawn. Those who have made up their
mind to carry will not be convinced.
Thirdly, one other purpose was to show that the Rabbonim Ho'ossrim have very
valid genuine Halachic reasons. By now this should be abundantly clear.
In fact the three visitors from E. Yisroel made literally dozens of changes. By
now even the LBD has realized that the Eruv was - from their point of view -
not "mehudor" i.e. the advert of "full confidence in Halachic integrity"
was an error. [Others may put it stronger than "not mehudor"]. So why
belabour a point which anybody who seeks the truth knows!
However, some don't realize that after the excellent repairs to the
construction of the Eruv there are - EVEN NOW - still severe problems due to Karfifors.
According to Chazon Ish it is actually invalid.
The Shishim Ribuy issue is another source of controversy, both Igros Moshe and Rav
Elyashiv are machmir - see letter on website -, Chazon Ish and Achiezer do not
consider THIS a problem.
But after all is said and done I believe [perhaps in error] that by now all
that can be achieved has been achieved. To keep up an insulting website
critical of great Talmidei Chachomim who work for the public good bimesirus nefesh
- for no positive outcome i.e. no gain to Shmiras Shabbos - is just very very
painful and not justified.

I must disagree with mds. I for one and some of my friends have stopped carrying only recently, due to the website. I know of someone who was very ill and took upon herself not to carry with this eruv and is now returning to health.

I don't agree with mds his site has convinced many people not to use the eruv, even recently when the experts came, it still showed the public that there is more to this eruv than one thinks.
